About Filecypressway Mining Review

Our history, team, and approach to reviewing entry-level air-cooled mining rigs for first-time buyers in South Korea.

Official Business Information

Registered name: Filecypressway Mining Review Co., Ltd. Established: 2019 Location: Office 11, 46 Sample-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 00000

How We Started

In late 2018, Jun-ho Park bought a second-hand Antminer S9 on a forum recommendation. The seller claimed 14 TH/s at 1,300 W. In Jun-ho’s Gangnam spare room, it pulled 1,450 W, ran at 72 dB, and raised the room temperature by 8°C within an hour. The unit worked, but nothing about the experience matched what he had read online.

Jun-ho started keeping a notebook: actual wattage readings, fan noise at one metre, heat output over 24 hours, and monthly KEPCO charges. Friends began asking for copies. By mid-2019, the notebook became a formal review practice operating from a small office in Gangnam.

What We Do Today

Filecypressway Mining Review is an independent assessment service. We test air-cooled mining hardware rated at 0.05 TH/s and above, publish field notes on ventilation and power costs, and offer paid consultations for first-time buyers who want honest guidance before spending money on a rig.

We do not manufacture, import, or resell mining equipment. Our revenue comes entirely from consultation fees and written reports. No manufacturer pays us for reviews, and we disclose any unit loaned for testing.

Our Team

Jun-ho Park — Founder and lead reviewer. Former electrical engineering technician with eight years of bench experience testing consumer electronics. Handles burn-in protocols and noise measurement.

Soo-yeon Han — Ventilation specialist. Trained in HVAC assessment, she conducts on-site heat and airflow evaluations across the Seoul metro area.

Dae-hyun Kim — Power cost analyst. Maintains our KEPCO rate database and produces electricity projections for consultation clients.

Our Approach

We measure what matters in a home setting: noise you will hear at night, heat your room will absorb, and power your bill will reflect. Manufacturer spec sheets are a starting point, not a conclusion. Every review includes conditions — apartment size, ambient temperature, voltage — because context changes results.

We write for first-time buyers, not mining veterans. That means explaining hash rate in practical terms, showing real decibel readings, and being direct when a rig is a bad fit for apartment living.

Community

We attend the annual Korea Blockchain Week side events and host occasional open-bench days where newcomers can hear a running rig before buying one. Details are posted in our field notes when dates are confirmed.
